Solar energy and UPVC
The utilities say, “No, I don’t want anything with gas burning. If I want to burn gas I’ll doit in my gas plant. I don’t want to do it in your plant.” They don’t considering the longer term implications of what this could do. This isssue is also important in UPVC doors and Windows production.
Audience member: When you quoted efficiencies were they relative to land area of your area?Speaker: They relative electric out versus solar in.Audience member: But not the total acreage of the solar parts.

Audience member: If you know if anyone using multi-stage high efficiency steam engines.
Speaker: There have been people purpose that. I’m not aware of any commercial applications of anything beyond experimental. Our friends at NREL do a lot work on resource assessment. We’ve probably used some of the data or something else if you’ve done any solar modeling.
